Legit RAR unzippers?

Recommended Posts

I have just downloaded a RAR file which has to have a program to unzip the compressed file....apparently. I'm in way above my pay grade here. So a few software sites were listed as possible...all costing $30 or so. Except this one which was a free download

Anyone know it the FREE Bitser program is legit?

http://www.bitser.org/

All this is for an unknown sequel to one of my favorite and early sci-fi/dystopian paperbacks. Such a find!! :cloud9: ....if I can read it. Only came out in 3 issues of Analog magazine in the 80's and their copies are mostly gone.

MtRider :sSig_help2: please....

Can you not right click the file to unzip it? I'm not sure about the RAR part, but most files if you click on them or right click, you have the option to unzip, then view when unzipped.

OK....brought file to desktop and right clicked. Same message about finding a program to read it. Somehow acquired FreeFile Viewer program [didn't ask for it] and tried that. Result was scramble eggs.

This is what I'm trying to read:

Careful....I have no idea if anything is wrong with this. It's reported to be the sequel to a sci fi book. It downloads as soon as you click that.
