Jeepers Posted August 16, 2018 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Awww, sweet doggie but no, not one of Carlene's. That one is a therapy dog. "Ours" are service dogs. They do a certain job (balance related) and are a one person dog only 24/7/365. Even the kids who have one take total care of the dogs with very little help from their parents. A therapy dog would be what we call a 'perfect pet'. Almost but not quite service dog material. I related when they said he is one way when the vest is on and another way when it's off. Service dogs are the same way. All business when the vest is on and goofy when it's off. Carlene is trying to help start another training center with a woman who is experienced in Danes. She wants the program to continue but she is in her 80's so time isn't really on her side any more... Quote Link to comment
