I thought the same thing. At least with home canned food we can see if the lid has popped or not sealed at all.

I just had a thought. You know how Monsanto has hybridized seeds so they can't reproduce true to form? And some seeds have chemicals added to them to prevent weeds from growing around them? And Monsanto owns the patent to all of those seeds. Even harvesting Monsanto seeds for replanting is illegal. That part is true. But...

 

What if they are further modifying seeds so they can't be processed in a canner. Or at least not a home canner. Anything canned under 20 pounds of pressure will release a toxic compound making then inedible. Or even deadly. If the seeds are owned by Monsanto (or any other big Ag) then they can do with them as they please. The same scenario with any food stored below zero degrees. No foods are able to withstand temperatures below 40 degrees. They will turn into a moldy dust. Bawww-Ha-Ha.

 

If Monsanto owns the seeds we plant in our garden then they own our food. Even what we grow on our own property. And if they modify it just right then they can also control how we process it. 

 

That's all just a figment of my imagination. But that's probably how H.G. Wells and other 'Dystopiamanians' started. With just a thought...
