Midnightmom
NEW YORK – Oct. 24, 2021 Jay Black, frontman for the 1960s rock band Jay and the Americans, who crooned the soaring vocals to hits like “This Magic Moment,” “Cara Mia” and “Come a Little Bit Closer,” has died from complications of pneumonia. He was 82. -------------------- I found this video of him performing "Cara Mia" in the 60's and again in 2017 (or thereabouts). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 2 Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
What a voice! Loved the video. Rest in peace Jay. So many of our old rockers have stood the test of time I also liked Only In America. Another favorite was when they did a slowed down cover of Hushabye. Quote Link to comment
Dee
I loved their music too Midnightmom and Jeepers. I am a product of the 60's and was a music nut. I carried my transistor radio with me everywhere I went. We had so many good artists and their music but we're slowly losing them. 2 Quote Link to comment
