All og these mixes could be assembled and put in quart sized canning jars. Cut a circle from a pretty piece of fabric, and tie it over the top of the jar with a pretty ribbon. Put it in a small basket, with the directions tied to the ribbon, along with 2 new coffee mugs, a small cellophane bag filled with home made cookies, two pretty home made cloth napkins, and a home made tape of Christmas music. Tie up the whole basket in clear or colored cellophane paper and a big bow. This is the perfect gift for a couple with a fireplace!

Here is a basic Hot Chocolate Mix.

2 cups dry milk

2 cups nondairy creamer

2 cups sugar

1 cup cocoa

Mix all together in a large container. Store airtight. Mix 1/3 cup to 6 oz of hot water.

Here are some coffee and tea mix recipes you might be able to use for the holidays:

To prepare the following coffee recipes: mix in food processor or blender until you have a fine powder.

For all the coffee recipes except the cafe' au lait, use 1 to 2 spoonfuls to one mug of hot water (to desired taste)

2/3 cup instant coffee

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. dried mint leaves

2/3 cup non-dairy creamer

(you might have to turn the mint leaves into powder - not sure about this)

2/3 cup instant coffee

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. dried crushed orange peel

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

2/3 cup instant coffee

3 TBS unsweetened cocoa

1 1/3 cups sugar

1 cup non-dairy creamer

1/4 cup nonfat dry milk

1/3 cup instant coffee

Use one heaping TBS to 1 cup hot water.

2 cups instant hot cocoa mix

2/3 cup nondairy powdered coffee creamer

RASPBERRY COCOA MIX (Cherry would be good too)

3 cups instant hot cocoa powder

Vacume sealing 1# bags of powdered sugar (I received a 50# bag!) and re-sealing them into one huge mylar bag...but, I'm going to save back a few of the 1# bags and put them into one of my "gift baskets" along with a bag of instant hot chocolate, a sealed bag of instant coffee, a sealed bag of powdered milk, and my recipe for home made capacinno. I'll also pick up some of the microwave hot cups from WM to go along with it, and a homemade card from my pc. Didn't get any Thanksgiving baskets made...maybe next year!? Now...back to re-packaging the powdered sugar!
