Midnightmom Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I have collected these pics from local photographers who have done an amazing job at capturing the Aurora Borealis across scenic parts of Northern Calif. Mt Shasta is north of me as is Shasta Lake and Lassen is to the east. Enjoy. Perseids comets...................... Momo Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Beautiful. Hard to believe but we even had some visible here in northern Alabama! 2 Quote
Littlesister Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 That is beautiful. They said we would see them here and my GD in Washington state called me to tell me to go outside. But I couldn't see anything but a lot of stars. My GD in Portsmouth said they went outside to see it and all they saw was a small amount of pink. Guess we were too far east to see it. Quote
Mt_Rider Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 Gorgeous......however......WHY are the 'Northern Lights' visible down so very low?? Alabama, really? What's happening to cause this? MtRider ....????? 1 Quote

Mt_Rider Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Yeah...that's kinda what I meant. As in: Do we look at this beauty without thinking: EMP Potential? MtRider I guess we enjoy the ones that have not sent anything bad 1 Quote
Necie Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 I was surprised that it was mentioned on the news. But it was. “Could cause small EMP events in localized areas.” Very much downplayed, but mentioned... 4 Quote
Ambergris Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Hm. I was warned to look out for a three-day blackout, but could not find anything on my normal media. I wonder if this was the root of what she was talking about? Gorgeous photos. 1 Quote
