Homesteader Posted January 5, 2004 Share Posted January 5, 2004 Did anyone happen to watch Dateline? I usually don't watch it but I happened to see it tonight. They took a group of 6 people who wanted to lose weight before their 20th HS reunion. They all chose different methods and all but one of them made or exceeded their goal. The "diets" lasted 10 months. The guy on Atkins lost 108 pounds, his goal was 100. Some of the other ones chose Slim Fast, Hypnotism, Marathon running and exercise, personal fitness trainer and one used Weight Watchers. The only guy who didn't lose all his goal had some major health problems but he didn't gain weight while being laid up so he should be counted as a success too. I guess the major point made was to pick a program and stick to it. Also don't restrict your food intake too much. It actually slowed a few people down when they ate too little. Quote Link to comment

The only diet that I have ever had luck with was the 'Low Carb' diet. I just haven't had the inner strength to go back on it. (((((HUGS))))) Quote Link to comment
