  1. Lehman's has them but they are pricey.

Did you do a Google search for any?

You are right about them having a 'flat' spot- we will find them at sales or auctions but most time the rollers are shot, all dried out or flat spotted.

Good Luck as this will be a great backup for you. Unless you are like us and use it every wash day? We have the same set up with the wringer in the middle of the 2 fold down tub stands but have a Maytag wringer washer as our everyday washer. Love doing things the old way so comforting (at times)

Yes, I did do a search on Google, but was not able to find just the rollers.

I was not able to find them on Lehmans either.... Did I miss them somehow? I saw the whole units they sell, but did not see just the rollers...

This will serve as a backup for the time being. My current Maytag machine, which is only 3 years old, is slowly on it's way out.... It does not spin the clothes as it should (apparently they've has this problem with many of these models...but it's past the warranty period...grrrrr!).

Sometimes it takes 3 different spin cycles to get all the water out. If I had the rollers for the wringer, I would use it in a minute!

I know what you mean when you say, "Love doing things the old way so comforting (at times)"..... I agree. While many of my friends just dont get it, I find that hanging laundry to dry, whether outside or inside on my racks, to be very therapeutic. Something about it just brings me peace.

If you do happen to know where in Lehman's the rollers could be found, I'd be very grateful if you could provide a link. Otherwise, I was going to ask my DH to help me out....lol....

I was thinking we could dismantle 2 similiar size rolling pins, stretch a rubber tube from a bike tire over them to keep them waterproof ??? I dunno..... But I will think of something!

    Thanks again.

    Blessings,

    SB

  2. Hi Everyone,

Hoping someone here can help me locate some rollers that go on a wringer?

It's a bicycle model wringer, and it looks like this:

The ones that are currently on my set-up were unfortunately left clamped together, and one side of the rollers is flat :shakinghead: Does not make for a nice smooth roll.

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer.

    Blessings and peace,

Thanks Martian Chick! I'm still poking around here. :) Amazed at all the info.

Love the penny pinching and recycling threads.

Also have a very soft spot for the "Reporting for Duty" section..... Our oldest will be reporting to Paris Island as a Marine Recruit in August and although it's his dream, I'm truly dreading it. Making the most of the rest of the days he's home with us......:americanflag::sad-smiley-012::pray:

    Thanks again for your welcome!

  4. Hey Everyone,

Found your site by way of a friend, and I'm thrilled to be here.

I've really enjoyed combing the boards and finding new ideas and information.

Have been prepping for years, although in a not-so-conscious kind of way..... just seems that I have a passion for "old" things, and I've collected them along the way. Most of which are in excellent working condition, and will serve our family well when the SHTF.

Currently we are working harder to prep with a very conscious attitude. It's something God is impressing on our hearts. It's very interesting that we are finding more and more folks in real life that are doing the same thing. Folks that have previously snickered at the idea..... Thankfully they're starting to feel the pinch, and have decided to do what they can, while they can!

I enjoy canning and dehydrating, and we've filled our freezers with home-grown meat. We also raise 20 chickens which provide our eggs. We garden all summer, and are already planning and plotting for the spring......It cant get here soon enough! lol....

Thanks to you all for being here and for "keeping the light on" for folks like me. I appreciate your friendship already. :kissy:

    Blessings and peace to you,

    Simply Blessed
