I was so glad to find another good chapter today. Thanks!

I loved the part about Jack's storage and his grandmother's quilt and cookbooks and the ring.

I was so glad to find a new chapter tonight (been gone all day). Thanks!

It's good to see you here again, Joan.

I really enjoyed Chapter 3. You keep us wondering where you're going next

Is this true?!!

Aw, thank you Happygirl
So now Teaberry, it's your turn to find someone to hug who hasn't already been chosen.
-
She won't find my name on that list.
-
Thanks, I'll have to look next time I'm in the 'big city'.

Caveman: Where would I get Spysweeper? Online or some place like Costco? Of course, when I get something like that I hand it to DH and say "Here, you do it!"

I am a *plus-sized person* and usually wear an apron in the kitchen or I spill on my shirt/blouse. To me the little half aprons that tie around the waist would be a total waste because anything I spill would hit the top portion before it ever got down to that little apron . Being an almost non-sewer, apron designs are usually simple enough lines I think you could just cut the pattern a bit wider to suit your needs. I'm 5'2" and the other thing is the aprons made with ties and neck pieces that are meant for 5'll" folks. Again, I just wouldn't cut it so it was any longer than I needed. The other thing I do is when I'm knee deep in something like canning I just wear an old teeshirt that it doesn't matter if anything spills on.

I missed #4 & #10. If I'd gone with my first instinct instead of reasoning those out I would have got them.

My lint trap has a plastic frame and fine mesh in the middle. I read recently it's also important to wash that mesh periodically because fabric softener/dryer sheets tend to leave a residue. Surprised me - I thought I was taking care of things by cleaning the lint off every time I used the dryer.

I love early morning when I'm the first one up. I have time to reflect about the day, drink my ocffee. A lot of times, unless it's raining, I take my coffee cup (DH gave me so many years ago I can't tell you but I think it was late 1970s-hardly know how to drink coffee out of anything else) and wander around the back yard to see what's blooming or growing and listen to the birds. Then DH gets up and the day starts.

Scented dish soap and cleaning products are the rage at Williams Sonoma. One is lavender, another is rosemary with something else and then orange or lime I think. My opinion is it makes doing the dishes more pleasant and it rinses off the dishes.

Just finished "No Place Like Home" by Mary Higgins Clark.
Now reading "Tested By Fire" by Kathy Herman. It's starting out real good.

I've seen mean geese but not mean ducks. I wonder if it had a nest nearby. Usually they are in pairs - maybe it lost it's mate and thought you were responsible?

That looks like so much fun. I love the illustrations of the little dog with wings. The jewels are beautiful. What a wonder for the children who find the treasures.
