  1. Thanks Cat, My son thinks the thick jam is delicious!!! I'm not sure there will be much left for cakes so maybe I will just have to overcook some more. I'll let you know how I get on. Hugs jenny
  2. Brilliant - mant thanks. We have been blackberry picking this afternoon and have the scratches to prove it. Hugs jenny
  3. Thanks Cat, Yes we have pectin products and I'll buy some (one of each type) when I go shopping today. I'd prefer to leave the pips in. I am very grateful Hugs jenny
  4. Hi, I live in the UK and would like to make some blackberry jam (jelly?)(the blackberries grow on prickly bushes). I have made some but it turned out like glue so I am obviously doing something wrong! I need step by step instructions please as I m not sure when to stir and when not to for instance. I was really amazed when I came upon this site, it has so much information - brilliant! Thanks JennyB
  5. Hello Everyone, I am from the UK and I have spent the last few days trawling the web trying to find jam (what I think you call jelly) recipes for the abundant blackberries we have here at the moment (our blackberries grow on prickly bushes and are high in pectin). I have tried making the darn stuff but end up with glue so I am obviously doing something wrong :-( Your site is brimming with good, down to earth knowledge so I hope you can help this town lady from the other side of the world. Many Thanks JennyB
