  1. This recipe is a family favorite. The stuffing gives it a unique yet moist texture and flavor. Try using some variations for a little flavor change!

1 lb extra lean ground beef

    1 box Stovetop chicken stuffing

    1 cup water

    2 tsp chili powder

    3/4 cup chunky salsa

Mix thoroughly and press into pan. Bake at 350 for approximately 2 hrs. Top with shredded cheddar cheese for a tasty fiesta treat!

  2. I swear by the for dummies book. I have been kniting since I was 10 and still 21 years later am finding all sorts of things I didn't know from that book. I got mine from Amazon.com and I think it was around 18.00. Well, worth it.

  3. Try using an old teacup, a scrap of yarn and a little stuffing to make adorable pin cushions for the sewers on your list. Just stuff a scrap of fabric with polyfil and tie. Then you hotglue to the top of a teacup. They are really adorable and can be put together and embellished with all those litle scraps you can't seem to throw away. Teacups are way cheap at thrift stores and so the whole project is handmade and very inexpensive. My kids made them last year as gifts and they were a big hit!

  5. An excellent book for the beginning or expert knitter is Knitting for Dummies. Yes they made a for Dummies book on knitting! LOL. I am a fairly good knitter, but I still purchased and find myself pulling it out all the time. It takes you from the basics, to knitting socks on four needles!

  6. A great way to win what your bidding on is to use an auction sniper. This will go in and bid automatically for you at the end, up to your max bid, and get you the lowest price. Most of them out there cost to use, but I have actually found and use a free one. It's on www.snipeville.com. I also like it because it will bid for you even if you are not online!
