Guest Guest
I'd forgotten two noises that are familiar to the midwest ..... squeeky floors - we had concrete structures in Saipan. train whistles - it's hard to turn a train around on a 12x3 island. I'm still in awe over annual flowers. I really missed them this year. Over there, the flowers come on shrubs. It's more difficult to uproot shrubs in a typhoon. ------------------ Quote Link to comment
logcabinmama
Good morning, Homey, good to see you again. I know it is hard to get use to some things after you haven't been use to them ever or for a while. But, it won't take you long and it will be normal again. When we lived in CA., we were just across the highway from the air base, so we had jets going over our place all times of day and night. We sure weren't use to that, but didn't take long. Than we came back here and it is nice and quiet except weekends, hunting seasons and holidays when the cars are a constant stream on the highway by us. I am sure that flowers would not last long with the winds and rains they get over on the islands. So, hope there are a lot of them here for you to enjoy yet. ------------------ Quote Link to comment
