Ah one of my favorite subjects Internet Protocol Adressing. I happen to know this area very well. An security is the main thing I am studying in school. Specifically network securtiy.

Mater of fact one of my professors just went back to work for the National Security Agency. From him we learned how to trace individuals not only by thier IP address but also thier MAC address. Now this is not to be confused with the Apple computers called MACs. No the MAC address is the actual unique hexidecimal # that is on your nick card or the nick card of your ISP if you use dial-up. There are many such #s to the pieces of hardware in your system that your movements can be traced by. Us in the network security world are taught these deep teachings so that we can track down what is know in the community as black hat hackers. Oh sure they try things like say running through several proxy servers. Yet in the end many are still caught

If you would like to know more on these and many network subjects feel free to ask me. If I dont know it I know a few CCNE's and other network specialist that do.
