American Indian ancestry

Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about researching this? In my family there's a story that my grandmother was 100% American Indian. I'd like to check it out, but have trouble with the traditional Anglo methods. sg

Seldie, the name might give you a hint as to if she was indian. Also, birth certificates should have what she was. Like the birth certificate of your mom, or dad, whichever she side she was on.

Also, cheek bones are another way to check it out.

There is a site we have had on here before, I'll see if I can find it for you.

Go to some of the places where you can put in queries and ask for information on, and give her name. If anyone has information, they usually answer.
