or nearby Jacksonville if you like Music for their Britt Festival

Plenty to do around here, I haven't even touched the natural wonders like Crater Lake, or the skiing on Mt. Ashland 20 min from my house. Someday I hope I get to explore all the fun stuff myself when we have more $! In the mean time we're just enjoying the lovely weather and the great people here!!

I would rather travel than live in a nice house. God has created such wonders for us to see.

Art and I just came back from our "Big" vacation. Since we have been married 28 years and no grandkids yet, I wanted to take one vacation in our lives that was not camping around here. I put all of the elements of what we loved into a week trip and WOW did we have a great time.

We took the train (of course) to the central Coast of California. We hiked hours each day and walked hand in hand each evening as the sun set.

Here are my favoite pics. I hope that they are not too big. If you care to see more click below.

Joan's trip

lighthouse2.jpg We had the oppertunity to tour Point Sur Lighthouse. We were just diving by as the tour was starting.

The Harbor Seals were giving birth on the beaches. We sat for hours watching them on the beach below.

Big Sur, where the mountains meet the sea.

Thanks for looking

Beautiful pictures Joan!!! I grew up in CA and spent a lot of time climbing the rocks etc. on the beaches north of the L.A. area. These pictures really make me nostalgic!
