Expired Coupons

 

For us military families that are stationed abroad, we are

limited in inexpensive shopping alternatives. Most of us use

the base commissary because markets in the local community are

usually quite a bit more expensive. The good news is that we

can use coupons that are six months past their expiration

date. Yes, the brand names are more expensive, but there are

only a tiny handful of "generic" products from which to

choose.

 

So, if you know of a military family stationed abroad, send

them your coupon inserts. They can use them, pass them around

to their friends, or drop them off at the Coupon Bin at the

local Family Support Center.

I wish I'd known about this. A good thing for personnel overseas, where the local economy is SO expensive for people living on a soldiers pay.
