Locating Family Bibles It is important to make contact with and interview every living relative. As each generation dies off, their treasured possessions are distributed among the surviving family members. Your great-grandmother's Bible may now be a treasured family heirloom belonging to a second cousin. By making contact with other family members, you may be able to determine who has that Bible with all the births, marriages and deaths inscribed inside. You then may be able to persuade the current owner to make copies of the inscriptions or to allow you to view and study the Bible yourself. - George G.
