Stocking up

samantha

I went out today and loaded up on supplies. I've got a good start again now, so I feel better about what I have although I still have a long way to go before I can breathe easy. But can you ever breathe easy, no matter how much you have? For every one thing I bought today I can still think of ten more things I need! But at least now I can pick up a few extra things every time I go out.

I've been recording everything on paper with the expiration dates and where they are so rotating won't be so difficult. This is a full time job!

Great job samantha! I don't know if you ever feel like you have enough...but, I think you will reach a point where it's not always on your mind.

You're on a journey and you don't ever really 'arrive' but you will realize one day that you've traveled a far distance, made progress and gotten some where. Keep up the pace!

Fantastic that you are getting so much done and very inspiring. I'd love to know more about how you record everything....something I've been needing to do!!!

Thanks guys! ANewMe, actually I make a table in a software program (you can do it with Word too) recording the item, how many, location, and the expiration dates of each. I highlight the ones I need to use first before they expire. Then I print them out, to put in my binder which I finally found. As I use items I mark them off, or add as I build my supplies. I also mark the expiration dates with a Sharpie on the outside of the item, if possible, to make them easier to spot.

You never are really DONE...there's just different phases throughout the process. :) We set priorities and then meet them, always striving toward one point or another.
