Your couch cushion covers house your TP preps

So tonight I'm having dinner with my best friend... she's telling me a story about when she was in Jr. High and some boy wanted to teach her how to kiss. So she says:

 

"So we were at Jill's house and she had this neat room. You had to go into a closet, open a hatch and crawl through into this room. Inside she had Christmas lights and we'd sit in there and play cards, and..."

 

I'm thinking Never mind the boy and the kissing!!! Tell me more about this room!! How was it concealed in the construction of the house? How big was it? How much 'preps' could I fit in it? Was it an attic and hot? Or insulated? Where is this house? Is it where we grew up? I could buy that house!

That is just sooo sad!!! and So funny at the same time!

When you get caught going through someone elses trash.. not for ID theft.. but for extra compost materials?

Breakfast lunch and dinner? Those aren't appropriate names for pets?

Hey that mini BOB kit in the kids back packs would be an excellent idea..... if my children werent homeschooled.

Its kinda sad as when you are reading this you can either say "done it" or "hey thats a good idea"

I have a 10 year old. She is under instructions to not read anything labled adult.. and so far.. she does listen.. (computer tracker) But even when she starts reading things that are questionable that she doesnt want to get in trouble for reading she closes it and doesnt look back. hehe.. she is a sweet kid.. Hopefully she stays that way.

I was thinking if you send her a duck you would be in her good graces though . lol

Darlene told me about a pick your own website that shows you pick your own places near you (I cant for the life of me find it)

But out here we have a pick your own place that does plums peaches pears and apples. I do alot of thrift store shopping for jars and I have a very loving grandma in law that has been sending me jars also.

This is all so confusing.. I am just going to stick with my sweatpants and call it a day. That way I have no YKK zipper issues

It is some pretty bad yarn Im working with perhaps I am splitting it.

Im getting pretty good at the knit stitch. But I throw in the purl stitch and I just get all confused LOL

ok.. I did the Biggest needles I have.. I did the one color yarn.. and I started a wash cloth.... I for the life of me cant figure out why I started with 20 stitches... and by the 9th row ended up with 25

Suggestions?

Other than that it looked pretty good.

DH got me a knitting how to kit from walmart..The book looks more confusing than crochet. Im gonna also try those websites to see if they give any more direction than the book.

Does it matter what color or type of yarn is best for beginners? I learned when I started to crochet that the dark yarn was harder for my eyes to deal with.

On the repost.. the last paragraphs of the chapters were cut short... any ideas?

Uhmm. OK here is a dumb question. What is apple butter ? I mean how do you use it. I see it everywhere and I think my grandma made some when I was little. But for the life of me I cant remember. (I guess my memory is the first to go)

I dont put anything in the bottom when Im water bath canning in my stock pot either. I havent had a problem but then again I havent been canning long either. When I pressure can I do use the rack for pints but I cant get the quart jars and the rack in there if I actually want the lid on. So I have been looking for a larger PC.

The yellow tomatoes didnt do much for the color though. All the thick meaty long toms kinda took over But it sure was pretty putting it together. Thanks Teach!

OK maybe the last post didnt sound the best. My water bath canner outside. Didnt mean to scare anyone. LOL And last but certainly not least my homework is finished. And it actually resembles Darlene's !!!
