My mom sent me this email, and it's from her friend Rachel. Rachel's mom is hosting 25 people who were evacuated. If you can help please PM me and I'll give you the address where you can send a box of supplies.

This message comes from my friend Rachel and comes

directly from the scene of this disaster and the

people who are trying so hard to help each other

through this trying time. Whatever you can do, please

act upon the deepest inclinations of your hearts.

Best, Natalie

Becca, I got a lot of supplies gathered up to mail and realized postage is going to be a fortune. If she could use the money I'd be glad to send her a check and add to the check what I'd be paying in postage. If she prefers supplies I'll do that too.

You can send her a check instead:hugs: She can use all the help she can get! I can't imagine trying to take care of 25 people, food, TP etc would be a fortune.

I got really lucky and the dollar store had a lot of great things, then I was able to get some baby things on clearance so I added that to my boxes. I have 2 boxes ready to mail and 1 I need to put together of kids books, puzzles, etc. The thought of having nothing and kids to entertain inspired me to see what my kids can part with that is still in great shape.

I think I'll send a check if you think it's ok. I had probably $100 worth of stuff set out and decided with the weight it would probably cost another $50 to mail it. If she can use a check $150 would be better than giving that extra $50 to the post office.

If I don't hear differently it will be in the mail on Tuesday with the name and address you pm'd to me!

Hugs Becca and thanks for letting us know! I am much happier helping someone I know will get the money than to just pledge it to some place never knowing where it goes!
