Here goes...please let me know if I have to take it off the site...I'm not familiar with plagerism rules... This was in the "Dear Abbey" (that I normally don't read!) and are excerpts from a poem written by Cortland E. Richmond from Califarnia... "Do not give medals for our death; Where we are, we cannot know. Do not raise flags and hold parades; Where we are, flags don't go. We ask but one thing of our land, Of you who had us fight: 'Please be worth the blood we shed, Be worth the eternal night.' I lost several friends over the years both in peace time training and in battles that took place both above board and in the spec ops area. There is a comment aboout heros that is brought to the front of my mind.
