Tuesday again.

Recommended Posts

Well, it is already Tuesday and so I won't be on long. Today is my pace maker check in Fargo.

It is cold here again, but not like it was a couple weeks ago. It is -8 with wind chill of -26 according to the weather bug.

Old Pine saw the Dr. yesterday and he is doing much better. He will probably have the cough for another 2 weeks. If it lasts longer, he is to go see the Dr. again.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Have a great day.

Well, I am officially unemployed.

I really need prayer. I'm entering a phase that threatens to turn my hurt to retaliation, and I *can't*. I won't.

It's cold & snowy and everything I see here at home overwhelms me. At least I finally got some good sleep last night (niiiiice meds...!). The kids tell me I slept through firetruck sirens and honking horns during the night!! (Out here in the country, noise like that is rare!)

This, too, shall pass...

So Snowmom, I sure hope you didn't take a peek at those kilts down in the "Rest of the World" forum before your pacemaker is checked! If it checked out ok, then I guess you can...

**Cat serves a steaming hot bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup to Old Pine...**

Hope you feel better soon, big guy!!!

Happy Tuesday, everybody! SnowMom, let us know how it went at the dr's...hope everything is ok!

Cat, I'll be praying for you..I know what you mean...I have held a pretty good grudge against someone that hurt my parents for a good while now...I'm working on it, but it was such a hurtfull experiece, that I feel like I don't want to let go...

Hope you are beating correctly Snow. Lovely weather for a drive up there.

We took our 2 pigs in today. First time we've ever raised pigs. I'm looking forward to all the chops and sausages. A great time to be on a low carb diet. No guilt at all about "pigging out" so to say.

DH went to Dr. and now he has to test his blood for sugar levels. I think his meds for diabetes is working toooo good. He is getting light headed and shaky. Will have to check it closely for a week to see.

Beautiful day today. It is supposed to get chilly again in a few days though.

DIL has her next test tomorrow. Am crossing my fingers.

I did feel a little guilty about leaving the pigs at the processor's. They looked at me with their little pig eyes. If only they knew what was gonna happen. The cows have never bothered me cuz they were so much trouble I was glad to get rid of them. The pigs on the other hand were sweet and no trouble. I guess I'll think about them for months whenever I'm eating ham, etc. Sigh.

Snowmom I hope you get all good reports on your pacemaker and Old Pine gets back on his feet real soon.

Cat and Happygirl , I used to get mad and let it stew inside, then one day I said enough of this I can't do anything about it,

so God you know what they meant , what was in their heart when they said (or did) I don't know so I'm leaving it up to you to deal with it.. When I learn to let go of things I became a happy and serene type of person. People will sometimes misunderstand what you say or do and many times there will not be a chance to explain, hurts will happen..

My way of dealing is to always to leave the door open to those who might have wronged me...

Since I used to walk around with my foot in my mouth on a daily basis , I try to make right any hurt feelings if I know about them..

Momo, you have more guts than I will ever have, I bought a small farm about 20 years ago with the intention of getting back to nature, growing my vegtables, milking my cows, raising animals for food, I grew my vegtables but couldn't do the rest ..

I used to get the Mother Earth News and that inspired me...

Snow I'm glad to hear that you and Old Pine are doing good.

We found out that the reason that DH has been so tired all the time lately is because he may NOT have diabetes. He is having to test frequently for 4 days and we go back to Dr. on Friday with the log of all his sugar levels. I took the test mayself since he had the stuff here and was relieved to see my sugar is fine. I had to run him to eye Dr. today though cuz he had a bad spell. The Dr. thinks he has a degenerative type problem. Poor DH. He is just falling apart! I told him if his eyes get much worse I won't have to lose any more weight. I'll just tell him I'm skinny and he won't know the difference.

DIL found out she has to have a biopsy next week. A good friend of mine who is only 31 found out she has a growth on her vocal cords and she needs it removed, plus a biopsy. I feel like I'm a Dr. or something today with all the health problems around me.

I sure hope you've "chilled out" some more Cat. We want you happy and purring around here.

Tomorrow will be busy again. Hopefully it will involve no more medical problems!

Mayjobe...Dh has done the farm bit growing up. I never did though. We love having the animals on a small scale. However, when you only have a few they seem more like pets. Everytime we take one to the processor we have to tell the 4 year old Princess that the animal went to get married. Don't have the heart to tell her about eating the critters yet!

Take care all.

Gee Cat..sounds like a few people in your church have alot of nerve. I'm proud of you for not being a doormat. Being nice is one thing but letting people take too much advantage is another.

DH does have diabetes. Dr. gave him a new medicine to try. Apparently the other one wasn't working. Hope this does the trick.

Snow..it sure sounds like a good day to quilt or knit when it's that cold.

The reason we told Princess that is because she understands about leaving home to start a family. We tried to put it in terms that she understands. Also, she will hardly eat meat already and we knew she probably never would if we told her about killing the cute cows and sweet pigs. Even DIL isn't too anxious for some sausage when we get the pigs back.
