The Tamiflu rep was in the office today, and told us that the flu vaccine for this year is mismatched to about 75% of the strains that are showing up to our north. We have not seen too much here in the Tidewater area, but she feels that within the next month or so, we are going to be inundated. I repeat, this was the TAMIFLU rep, so she has a vested interest in the vaccine NOT being effective. But it is interesting none the less. I am still not seeing many flu-like symptoms coming through in sick call, but there were several flu tests with positive results last week. I will be watching. Link to comment
