Guest Guest Posted August 6, 2003 Share Posted August 6, 2003 We had a gentle rain yesterday, much needed. The grass is greening up right before our eyes, or so it seems. We've been enjoying watching and listening to the birds - two blue herons entertain us almost daily. The flowers are blooming, the crops look so green and lush, and it's relaxing to just sit on the porch and and enjoy nature. How is your summer going? Quote Link to comment

The crops are gorgeous and the gardens are producing like wildfire. I haven't done gardening this year because of my surgery but friends have kept us supplied. For dinner today we had BLT's, sweet corn, green beans and lettuce salads with tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. Ah, summer eating is great! Quote Link to comment
