    Bubba Claus

MEMO FROM SANTA I regret to inform you that, effective immediately, I will no longer serve the States of Georgia, Florida, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, and Arkansas on Christmas Eve. Due to the overwhelming current population of the earth, my contract was renegotiated by North American Fairies and Elves Local 209. As part of the new and better contract I also get longer breaks for milk and cookies so keep that in mind. However, I'm certain that your children will be in good hands with your local replacement, who happens to be my third cousin, Bubba Claus. His side of the family is from the South Pole. He shares my goal of delivering toys to all the good boys and girls; however, there are a few differences between us. Differences such as: There is no danger of the Grinch stealing your presents from Bubba Claus. He has a gun rack on his sleigh and a bumper sticker that reads: "These toys insured by Smith and Wesson." Instead of milk and cookies, Bubba Claus prefers that children leave an RC cola and pork rinds [or a moon pie] on the fireplace. And Bubba doesn't smoke a pipe. He dips a little snuff though, so please have an empty spit can handy. Bubba Claus' sleigh is pulled by floppy-eared, flyin' coon dogs instead of reindeer. I made the mistake of loaning him a couple of my reindeer one time, and Blitzen's head now overlooks Bubba's fireplace. You won't hear, "On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen.." when Bubba Claus arrives. Instead, you'll hear, "On Earnhardt, on Andretti, on Elliott, and Petty." "Ho, Ho, Ho!" has been replaced by "Yee Haw!" And you also are likely to hear Bubba's elves respond, "I her'd dat!" As required by Southern highway laws, Bubba Claus' sleigh does have a Yosemite Sam safety triangle on the back with the words "Back Off." The usual Christmas movie classics such as "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life" will not be shown in your negotiated viewing area. Instead, you'll see "Boss Hogg Saves Christmas" and "Smokey and the Bandit IV" featuring Burt Reynolds as Bubba Claus and dozens of state patrol cars crashing into each other. And Finally, Bubba Claus doesn't wear a belt. If I were you, I'd make sure you, the wife, and the kids turn the other way when he bends over to put presents under the tree. Sincerely Yours, S. Claus

  5. I love to do the decorating, and the cooking but I hate trying to figure out what to buy people for Xmas. This year all we are trying to take care of is the kids. The youngest wont start enjoying things like this till next year then I will have to hang the christmas tree from the ceiling.lol. The oldest are really into electronic things. Playstations, computer games, electronic gadgets. Geez I remeber just hoping I could get the next ... hmm ok we wont go there we already know I am a spring chicken..lol. The years go by and the gifts are more expensive. Thankfully my kids are still too young to want a car..lol. Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Smooches Ally
  6. Well here in the panhandle it is suppose to get to almost 70 again today. With 1 week and 6 days to Christmas there is much to get done. Today I need to work on sleeping arangements for anyone that might show up due to supposed snow on the way for the Christmas holidays. I sure dont want to have anyone getting hurt. I need to bleech the walls of the bathroom, and kitchen floors. About 3 and start some pies and cakes. Hopefully they turn out alright. Well till next time hope everyone has a blessed day. Smooches

  8. OH ((((((((((Busy)))))))))) I completely understand. I have a 10 yr old son, 8 yr old son and a 3 monthold daughter. Got called to the school on Monday after spending all day at Dr. office for daughter getting shots that the school had a major problem with my youngest son and I needed to get up there pronto. So I loaded everyone up and up to the school we went. Jeremy my youngest son had hid in his class until everyone left and stole $ 20 from his teachers purse. He split in umong many students to try and buy friendship, and expressed his disgust with myself and my DH on us not giving him any money to buy extra stuff at the cafeteria. So they sent him to ISS and then told us that maybe we should take some parenting classes to try and deal with him better. Ok now I have taught my kids to the best of my ability tell the truth, dont steal, and to always be kind at heart. Then my DH (aaarrrgggghhhh) tells me that for the next week he will be working 9am to 11pm everyday and that I need to make sure that I keep a close eye on Jeremy. When I asked him about his schedule he explained to me that it was his way of working around the matter with Jeremy. I dont know what to do but will figure it out. I love my children and family, but sometimes we do wonder did we sign up for this? Smooches

  11. Dearest Karen...... I wish I was closer. I am known as the hot head of my family also. I know what you mean about people just wanting to start something. But I have come to the conclusion they do this to gain attention. That does not make it easier. I pray that you have recieved the phone call and everything is going better. Please feel free to vent anytime you need to . We all need somewhere to go and vent so we all come here and just let it all out so others can come and help us through. Smooches
  12. I remember when I was a kid ( Yes I knwo like I am old..lol.) going to my grandparents house and eating thanksgiving dinner and after all the cleaning putting up the decorations. I always looked forward to that. The first thanksgiving I shared once I found my father and sisters. The first one with all my kids. I cant wait until next year when my youngest is old enough to start enjoying things like this. She already enjoys watching me cook. Maybe this is a sign of a future chef? hmmmm Smooches
