Hiya Jori, another familiar face. How are you doing?
-
Interesting because I reuse bandages after boiling them. It is a great idea for quiet evening to crochet some of these and store them in a zippie.
-
What would the difference be between store bought/machine manufactured bandages and these?
Not trying to be clever, I simply now nothing about Hansen's.
-
Hey Snowmom, good to see you around. Hope you are doing better now.

Hello Shari, welcome back.

A topic worthy to investigate, how to make good food look unattractive.
If people are hungry enough, they might not care to eat it anyway. The stages before that.. good idea.
On a barrel of grain, a false bottom and on top of that half rotten, mousepoop infested grains.
"Good" grains underneath in secure wrapping.
Something from a movie, long time ago. Rotting fish on top of good stuff to scare off looters.
We're on to something here.

Very nice, warm feet out of bed

Hello Mt, big hugs and kisses and warm feeling and and and ...
Just happy to see you again.

Cat, should you speak with her, please give her my love. All the best.

Horn untreated is quite resilient, note the shofar.
Never knew it had so many uses after heat treatment.
It is boiled with hooves to make glue so yes, there has to be some plasticity.
Something to look into.

WE2 you tease, give us the recipe for the scrub then

The weather is going to be lovely here this weekend. Sunny and about 18C.
I'm taking the dog out now and back on the couch after that. Still flu and ankle hurts like heck.
When possible, I'll sit in the garden a bit and enjoy the warm sunshine.
Have a great weekend all.

Big crates, big fridge?

Thieving dogs, a topic on its own

Hiya Daisy56, nice to see you.

Indeed good point about the alarm. What's the score on that?

Garden the size of a poststamp in the back here and still completely overgrown. Please ask hubby if he fancies a European tour

Strangely enough the amount of salt in for instance, sauerkraut shouldn't be high. I read up on the USDA rules and found another one from Minnesota.
They recommend
- 25 lbs. cabbage
- ¾ cup canning or pickling salt
Thinking about the quantities people use when simply cooking cabbage, this seems mild compared.
Opinions anyone?

Teehee, never seen a boy looking like that but yes, scary bob gone ballistic there.

Happy Birthday, hope you had a great day John.

I hear you on the hair cut. I look like the little Dutch Boy on the paint cans. Or Ringo.
You got a pic of that Jeepers? Never heard that one before...

And... it's wednesday again.
Crazy days indeed.Yesterday the wife of a dead friend in NM passed away. She'd been ill with cancer and deteriorated very fast.
To be thankful for is that we spoke at length on the phone last saturday. She told me she was sending me emails for when she couldn't write anymore.
We didn't have an inkling that that day would come so soon.
One special lady has gone.

Didn't can it but.. the first strawberries on the market are now, strawberry jalapeno sauce. Oh my, how delicious is that!
On bread with soft white cheese. It's in the fridge now and might not make it to the weekend.
