  1. Hi there!

i got a job at a bed and bkfst about 2 minutes from the park I'm in. It's housecleaning but it's 8.00 an hour and it's temporary. I can do most anything for 2 months. Besides I only work 1 or 2 days a week and the owner is a Christian woman. It gets me out of the RV for a few hours.

I am going to ask at the library about scanning in photos or uploading them from the digital camera. i just don't know anything about that part. i'll get back over to the library on Tues. so you all have a great weekend!

    Your best days are ahead!

  2. You all have given me a reason to get up and go to the library in the mornings! When I'm not working, I tend to get bored even when the scenery is great. I can't do much canning-no room to store much. I stopped on the way here this AM and talked to a young lady with a used stuff store. Her husband manages a rest. and needs help. It's not easy when I dnow I'm leaving soon and I feel I have to tell them. Hopefully I'll be able to work at different places whenever we come through all over the US. The towns wer'e in are too small for a photographer. I've done some slides of landscapes but I hven't been near a town with a regular photo lab yet.

We are in Canyon Lake in the hill country(looks like mountains to me) but I'm from FL and we can't count either! Stevie Rae has taken to the life of leisure quite well. She takes my husband out on patrol at 6:30 AM every morn rain or shine. She and I go exploring and see deer quite frequently. And yes, there is such a thing as too much togetherness. I am really glad my dh is working! I'm looking forward to working too.

We found a wonderful campground in AL called Isaacs Creek COE. and Pedrenales Falls in TX. Also a great state pk in Blanco TX. I definitely like traveling the best but it's also cool getting to know people in the small towns and we can't do that if we're always on the move. We got a 25 foot RV-thank God we didn't get a camper van- and it's big enough(except when it rains for several days) and yet still easy to drive. Not much storage of course but we do have my van as well. We don't tow it in the mountains so the motor on the RV isn't so strained. It looks good though it's a 1990 and we're happy with it.

I'm going with a local Church to sight see the State wildflower-bluebonnets on Fri. I'll let you know if I get a temp job.

    Your best days are ahead!

  3. I've sure missed everyone! We sold the computer in Oct. I think and the house in Dec. We bought our RV in Jan. and hit the road in Feb. We're in TX now and amazed that we've actually done what we set out to do. The last thing I remember was Hillbilly's wedding so there's probably a little bit to catch up on. Put in my new e-mail. I'm using library computers so I check in once or twice a week. I'm really happy to be back--God Bless

  4. Starts in 1 hour! Lots of work, real nervous, aaaaaugh! Glad we're close to ready. We may be selling computer. If so, I'll be off for a while unless I go to library. It might not sell so maybe I'll check in tonight(what's left of me)

  5. When I get stressed while photographing a wedding-There's usually a lot of stress around-I stop physically and ask God to please help me do the next right thing and that's all. One thing at a time til things calm down. If it's a beach wedding, I like to walk on the beach afterwards.

  6. Hey Ed and Peg.

Did you know that Alice Cooper is a born again Christian now for a couple of years I think?

My first concert was YES. Others were Humble Pie, Uriah Heep x3, Crosby, stills, Nash and Young, Bob Seger,Grand Funk Railroad, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson x4. Does Steve Martin Count? Molly Hatchet and has anyone ever seen Glenn Kaiser? He's a Christian Blues artist.

  7. Congratulations!

It sounds like it would have been a fun wedding to photograph! Whenever I deliver a proof book the bride always talks about the thing that happened that was unplanned. That seems to be what is always remembered, so your guy with the gun behind your husband is a great one to remember. Have a happy honeymoon-for the next 50 or so years!

  8. Has anyone ever heard the take-off on the Chestnuts roasting song? It starts out "Chipmonks roasting on an open fire, hot sauce dripping from their toes-etc. It really goes downhill from there too.

I like Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation but I also like Lost in Paradise-I think it's another classic along with Home Alone.

  9. I remember Red Skelton, too. My Grandad used to put it on for me. I like Abbott and Costello also but not the 3 stooges. I watch The Little Rascals/Our Gang reruns on AMC all the time. I loved Johnny Carson-he didn't have to say a word -just stand there and everyone would just crack up! Have never gotten used to Jay Leno though, maybe it's the timing.

  10. Hi Debbielee!

Now I feel like we're related. I'm a short, overweight, kind of unemployed, 45 year old married Christian lady with no kids (by choice). At least it was by choice my first marriage to an alcoholic. This time I would have liked children a few years ago but he had a vasectomy and we didn't want to reverse it. That's probably more than you wanted to know but that happens sometimes.

  11. Happy belated Birthday Cookie!

Hope you had a good one and are still around. Your best days are ahead! My DH and I both turned 45 in July and are just fine! The good news is that my doc says i went through menopause while I wasn't looking. Hasn't bothered me a bit and it's been a year now.

  12. I'm wondering how our interests run towards comedy. I like so many, it's hard to narrow it down. My favorite is probably Jackie Gleason but i like Robin Williams a lot too although he's certainly branching out a lot these days. Carol Burnette and Lucy were always great shows too.

  13. Good Morning Debbielee!

We have 2 prospective buyers but we just don't know enough about liability and contracts to do this ourselves. Our realtor is one of my brides I just photographed a wedding for 3 weeks ago.

We did a small yard sale and did ok. The first moving sale is the 25th and 26th. That will be a big one, then when we actually are ready to move out we'll have another one to get rid of what we kept and whats left in the attic.

I hope everything is going well for you. You're always happy and encouraging but I don't knmow anything about you. Anyway-God bless you

  14. Listed our house with a realtor yesterday. I think it will sell fast. At least most of the houses i shoot for the realtors sell before i get the photo taken, so here we go. At least we don't have to pay to replace the air since its fixed now. I have 3 weddings this month, 2 beach portraits, houses to shoot and the moving sale. It's really all exciting but takes a lot of energy.

    Your best days are ahead!

  15. Hi Happygirl!

Welcome and I like your name. i'm fairly new also but its a great family to be a part of. My husband and I are selling everything we own, buying a camper van and going to travel for a while. I think we'll feel like homesteaders even if we aren't. I got my bread maker from a yard sale for $20 but you might try a pawn shop also. Mine is even going with us. Talk to you soon.

  16. Hi again,

This is definitely my idea of Gods humour! I whine about no A/C in my van so it goes out in my house. I whine about no A/C in the house to a larger group then I get up this morning go out to my van and my drivers side window won't go down at all. I just had to laugh! I think I'll quit feeling sorry for myself and try being thankful I have a van that runs and a home with fans!
