  1. back in June I think it was My Sis, Son & I went to a local blueberry farm and picked 9 gallons. I made several jars of jelly, froze some juice for later jelly makings and put lots in the freezer to make smoothies or just eat as we wanted. :)

  2. Now that I have finished my gardening & canning/freezing, I am about to start working on a couple baby quilts that I have started awhile back. Don't have but about 9 weeks for the grandbaby's and another one is for a 3 year old my nephew & neice are adopting. They are in India now waiting on bringing their new son home with them. So since there isn't much working outside to do I do believe I will have to make myself get up and go for a walk a couple times during the day to help me get some excercise.

Went to the doctor last week when I got pretty worn down and he put me on some antibiotics and refilled all my meds. Lost 18 lbs since a year ago when I went for a dr visit. Was so proud of myself!

So, I hope I can make myself get up and do some walking, now that some of my energy has came back. Hope to be posting soon! Have a good day! :)

  3. Don't even know when the last time was I have visited, been so busy. Garden has finished for the summer, still hope to get a few tomatoes to make salsa or chow chow, but don't think I will get any. Lost so much energy trying to garden and can, but now on some meds and starting to feel much better. Hope everyone has been doing great and has had a very productive canning season. Sure hope to come back in and visit with everyone more often. Have a 15 year old granddaughter and 3 year old grandson, 1 year old granddaughter and grandson and another grandchild on the way in Sept. Can't wait to see him/her (they are letting it be a surprise). So they keep me busy too. Have a good weekend :)

  4. LOVE this! And yes, our "unmentionables" always go on the middle line surrounded by sheets and towels. I guess I'm tacky though, I am guilty of leaving the clothespins on the line! LOL

this is just too cute...love it. We still try hanging our clothes on the line and try to hide the unmentionables also :)

  5. Ok. I want to learn to crochet too. My mom is in process of making several camo scarves for a friend who wants them for christmas this year. Hubby wants me to find a pattern for adult booties, His Mom use to make some, but she has been gone for several years now, and we don't have a pattern. Can anyone send a easy pattern that I can have him print out and we can give to my Mom. I want her to teach me to crochet and maybe try making some of these booties. Thanks for any info on this. wave

  6. waveherbal. As for me, I love canning green beans, potatoes, and peas among other things. I use to do this years ago b/f I had to run our nursery and work other places. Now I have several rows of potatoes planted 2 weeks ago, and next week I will be planting green beans, greens, cabbage and my tomatoes I have in containers. will add other things as I can. But I will be trying to buy my peas this year, don't want to do to much my first year with a bad back. I am buying up lots of dried beans, rice, flour, meal, sugar/surejel (been scouting out all the huckleberry bushes full in bloom already). I hope when we go on our vacation I can locate some places along the way I can pick up some wheat if not too far out of our way. Really like to find some we can haul back ourself instead of ordering it. But as the garden comes in we will be canning mostly green beans, peas, and potatoes. And hopefully I will plant enough of other stuff to make some jars of soup. I may just put enough greens and okra in freezer for eating during the winter, and plant more greens and cut the okra partly down(so it can reproduce) to eat fresh greens and okra through the fall. haveniceday
  7. wave everyone. I'm back. Went to my Mom's and weighed this morning and jawdrop didn't like what I saw. So, we've planned on our walking again. We did running 1/2 mile this morning and will do this a few days, then maybe add another 1/2 mile in the evening. We have to be slow b/c of my back and her medical problems. But I ask that you all pray we do get back on track. Need those prayers please , need to get back in shape. thanks for being here and encouraging us to keep on.
