Homesteader Posted July 16, 2005 Share Posted July 16, 2005 It's her birthday. She never married and she drove everyone in the family away. I was the last to "give up". She demanded everything and gave little, if anything, in return. I was her only close relative but a wedge was driven between us when I got married. It bugged her that I put my son and husband first. I always brought her into our home for holidays and made her a welcome guest. I took her to the Drs and church. It was never enough. She has chosen a sad life for herself. She is 83 today and has no one who really cares around her. I feel she has reaped what she has sown but it is still sad. Link to comment
