Mine couldn't go fast enough.... isn't that terrible to wish your life away that way. Work is just kind of icky right now, but hopefully it'll turn around soon.

DH and his sister took their father to do his funeral planning. He is in good health, but is 84 so... I guess it is the thing to do. Everything is settled now for when that time comes... hopefully still a long way off. Has anybody else done this yet? I guess it is becoming the "Thing".

DH had to do the pre-burial planning for his brother but we haven't done anything for ourselves. Hoping we'll be raptured I guess. It has been on the back of my mind because it comes at a highly emotional time and folks can spend an awful lot. We have the history where my folks made a big deal of visiting the graves of past loved ones on Memorial Day and DH's parents were cremated with no funeral, no site of remembrance. Same with one of DH's brothers. I'm leaning toward cremation and a memorial service for family.
