Guest Guest
Every year my DD's school (elementary) chooses a charity to gather gifts for, instead of exchanging gifts with each other. It eliminates the embarrassment of not having $$ for a gift, because it's voluntary and relatively anonymous (since the kids drop things off under a tree). The last few years, it's been a local women's shelter, with personal items, towels, etc. So while trying to keep myself busy when going through stress, I've been using up leftover yarn to crochet hats and scarves to donate. *OF COURSE*, they changed things and a new student council voted to make the charity "Toys For Tots". Mother
That's a great Idea. I have some I was going to bring to the Salvation Army but will check with the school first. Thanks for the suggestion. Link to comment
