1 Day Sale, Got Some Good Deals On Meat!

This past week, a grocery store that's about 30 minutes from us,

had some really good deals on beef, pork and poultry,

so hubby and I purchased quite a bit.

I love it when you can get good deals, don't you?

 

 

For $103.34, this is what we bought -

 

14 3/4 lbs. 85% lean ground round @ $1.99 lb. Total: $28.53

 

17 lbs. Country Style Pork Ribs @ $1.29 lb. Total: $21.93

 

10 3/4 lbs. boneless, skinless, chicken breasts @ $1.49 lb.

$16.00

 

4 Beef Chuck Roasts @ $1.99 lb. Total: $22.94

 

2 ( 5.6 oz. ) pkgs. chicken leg hindquarters for $2.99 ea

Total: $5.98

 

4 ( 1 lb. ) pkgs. Maple Flavored Bacon for $1.99 ea. Total: $7.96

You did great Domestic Goddess. You should eat well for quite awhile.

 

Oh my SueC, meat is expensive for you. We'll have to compare other prices of goods for Australia and the U.S. That would be interesting. It'll need to be someone with more knowledge to prices than me though. With the kids grown and DH retired I don't buy or pay the attention to prices that I used to.

Way to go DG I love meat sales and get stocked up on stuff. I am getting very low in the meat dept. here myself. Soon be time for me to restock. We are getting a Walmart here finally but it won't be til 2007 so maybe when it gets here I can gt some good meat deals too. Our little local stores don't have real good sales.

well they had some pretty good sales here this past week too. For $54 I got an 11 lb. smoked ham.20 lbs of chicken quarters. 8 huge pork chops, and 5 beef roasts. I cut all the beef roasts in half so will give us 10 meals just on those alone. The chicken quarters were a 10 lb. bag for only $2.90 so got 20 lbs of chicken for $5.80
