Guest Guest Posted January 25, 2003 Share Posted January 25, 2003 We used to heat with wood and I cooked on it quite a bit. I only did the soup, frying things and putting a roast or chicken in the Dutch oven to cook. I always thought I'd try baking on it but never did. Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 25, 2003 Share Posted January 25, 2003 I have cooked just about anything on the wood stove. It is great for soups and stews. Is you stove a kichen range with an oven? In our kitchen stove I have cooked bread, pies, turkey dinner, etc in that stove. The problem is regulating the temperature which means moving things around in the oven and on the cook top. Baked beans are great also. Just keep trying and you will learn where the best place is for cooking certian foods. Quote Link to comment
