Raspberry

Other Common Names: Red raspberry

Latin description: Rubus idaeus.

Parts to use: Leaves.

Chemical constituents: Citric acid, silicon, fragarine, tannins.

Actions: Antiemetic, astringent, laxative, nutritious

Medicinal Uses & Benefits

Leaf tea used for diarrhea.

Tea combined with cream to relieve nausea and vomiting; can help with morning sickness.

Used in the last few months of pregnancy to tone and strengthen the pelvic muscle.

Rash around middle indicates overuse.

Fresh raspberries mildly laxative.

Raspberry leaves are excellent for nausea and vomiting.

They are very beneficial for pregnancy, uterus

and female organs in general.

Dosage>

Capsules: 3 caps 3-4x daily.

Infusion: 1 cup 3x daily.

I couldn't find anything on harvesting the leaves, so I would begin harvesting a few as soon as they start and continue harvesting small amounts and drying them all summer, unless someone has more info.
