Jingles
We made this for dinner tonight and it turned out pretty good. Ingrediants: 1 box of curly pasta (rotini or simular) 1 zucchini or summer sqaush (diced) 1 cucumber (diced) 1 large tomato (diced) or a bunch of cherry tomatoes (halfed) 1 carrot (diced) 1/2 cup of pea pods (sliced) any other garden veggies 1 regular size bottle of creamy italian dressing (kraft is what we used) 1/2 cup parmasan cheese 6 oz of cheddar (cheese chunked or shreaded). 6 slices of dried beef (chopped) Directions: Cook pasta till very soft, drain and run under cold water. Add all diced veggies and meat add cheese and dressing and mix together. serve cold You could make this salad with what ever you have coming into season in your garden and it almost always is awesome. Also you could use rehydrated veggies and it would be great too (that's what they do with those box kinds) and since the pasta, dressing, meat and parmasan cheese can be stored for a pretty long time it is a salad you can have ready from the pantry (or preps). Just an idea to share. It would be awesome with some bean sprouts too! Hmm might try that next time. Link to comment
