Deblyn
That's good Dee. I'll show the children that tomorrow, they'll enjoy that. I did manage to read straight through the message, so what they say about the first and last letters must be true, and that you read the word not the individual letters. Must try it out on hubby - I wonder if men and women would react differently? If he cant read it, he'll probably say it's a woman thing. I can't win! Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest
I thought about you Lowie as I finished since I did stumble a little over cheerio. We seldom use the word and think of it as very British so did you stumble over it or was it as easy as the rest of the sentence? Like you, I wondered what my DH would think about it. I'm going to ask him when he comes in. We'll see! Quote Link to comment
Deblyn
Nope, got the cheerio straight away! We will have to compare notes on hubbies' reactions I think!! Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest
So true! Funny! I stumble on the cheerio word too....and then I wondered what Cheerios had to do with anything! I'll also show it to DH and see what he says......thanks for sahirng! Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest
There's a lot to be said for context, too. We expect the words to flow together to make "sense". We figure out a few words, and we fit the others into it. Fun, Dee... thanks! Quote Link to comment

Guest Guest
Dee, wow, this must be all over the internet! I got it from two other people and thought it was fascinating, so I posted it in the Humor Me forum. Then I saw that you had posted it here . . . sg Quote Link to comment
