Guest Guest
Those of you who like me love google and have downloaded and installed their new toolbar. Beware! I opened an email I recieved about a new membership to something and was very upset at what I found. It seems Google took it all upon themselves to sign me up for a membership to something and GAVE OUT ALL MY PRIVATE INFORMATION! Including my personal password to my most private accounts and my computer identification number! Here is a copy of the letter I recieved with X's placed where I don't want the private information viewed........ Your Test Drive account is now active! Guest Guest
Antila Test Drive is a Internet Service Provider (ISP), they're offering you a 3-5 day trial of their services. You can usually dump it from the add/remove programs or from the MSCONFIG startup items...also from the network connections if it's there. Quote Link to comment

Homesteader
Someone warned me that when you sign up for the toolbar/anti pop up system to be sure to NOT choose google deluxe or expanded at the bottom of the agreement. Apparently, the super edition gives your consent for things like this. Maybe you can go back and re register. Since I had been forewarned I knew ahead of time which option to choose and I haven't had this problem. Pretty tricky way to do business. Quote Link to comment
