It's hot!

Anyone visiting me today had better bring sunscreen and lots of water. Our high was 113 degrees. My big dogs have been toughing it out in the yard with cool spots under the bushes and a mister and fan on the porch. Today, I left the door open for them and they had access to a small room off the kitchen. Boy were they happy! When I got home, I let them have the run of the house, but of course they are right here next to me. Fortunately, I cool with an evaporative cooler, so some door or window has to be open when it's running.

 

For dinner, I wanted some homemade biscuits, so I put my toaster oven on the back porch to do my baking. Some white eggplant, tomatoes, and peppers from the garden made a tasty skillet dish. I microwaved a potato, too. A nice dinner without heating the kitchen too much.

Now that is hot! Sounds like you have a plan to manage it. We were warmer than usual yesterday and I found my cat laying between the lettuce and carrots in the raised beds.

Oh wow that is HOT! It's a mild 80 here in comparison. I'm surprised we aren't up in the 90's here yet. But I'll take it
