Here's the full text of that song-I never knew it was so risque!!!
Man on the Flying Trapeze
Written By: Unknown
Copyright Unknown
Once I was happy,
But now I'm forlorn,
Like an old coat
That is tattered and torn;
Left in this wide world
To weep and to mourn,
Betrayed by a maid in her teens.
Now this girl that I loved,
She was handsome,
And I tried all I knew
Her to please,
But I never could please her
One quarter so well
As the man on the flying trapeze.
Oh, he floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
This daring young man
On the flying trapeze;
His actions are graceful,
All girls he does please,
My love he has purloined away.
He'd play with a miss
Like a cat with a mouse,
His eyes would undress
Every girl in the house.
Perhaps he is better
Described as a louse,
But the people they came just the same.
Oh, he'd smile from his perch
On the people below
And one day he
Smiled on my love.
She blew him a kiss
And she hollered, "Bravo!"
As he hung by his nose up above.
Oh, he floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
This daring young man
On the flying trapeze;
His actions are graceful,
All girls he does please,
My love he has purloined away.
Oh, I wept and I whimpered,
I simpered for weeks,
While she spent her time
With the circus's freaks.
The tears were like hailstones
That rolled down my cheeks,
Alas, and alack, and alacka!
I went to this fellow,
The blackguard, and said,
"I'll see that you get
Your desserts!"
He put up his thumb to his nose
With a sneer,
He sneered once again, and said, "Nertz!"
Oh, he floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
This daring young man
On the flying trapeze;
His actions are graceful,
All girls he does please,
My love he has purloined away.
One night to his tent
He invited her in,
He filled her with compliments,
Kisses, and gin
And started her out
On the road to ruin,
Since then l have known no repose.
But e'en now l loved her, I said,
"Take my name!
I'll gladly forgive
And forget;"
She rustled her bustle
Without any shame,
Saying, "Well, maybe later, not yet."
Oh, he floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
This daring young man
On the flying trapeze;
His actions are graceful,
All girls he does please,
My love he has purloined away.
One night as usual
I went to her home,
And found there
Her father and mother alone,
I asked for my love,
And it soon was made known,
To my horror, that she'd run away.
Without any trousseau,
She'd fled in the night
With him with the
Greatest of ease,
From two stories high
He'd lowered her down
To the ground on his flying trapeze.
Oh, he floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
This daring young man
On the flying trapeze;
His actions are graceful,
All girls he does please,
My love he has purloined away.
Some months after that
I went into a hall,
And to my surprise
I found there on the wall,
A bill in red letters
Which did my heart gall,
That she was appearing with him.
Oh, he'd taught her gymnastics,
And dressed her in tights,
To help him to live
At his ease,
He'd made her take on
A masculine name,
And now she goes on the trapeze.
Oh, she floats through the air
With the greatest of ease,
You'd think her a man
On the flying trapeze,
She does all the work
While he takes his ease,
And that's what's become of my love.

FOUND IT!!!
The Air Force Song
Off we go, into the wild blue yonder
Climbing high, into the sun;
Here they come zooming to meet our thunder,
At ‘em boys, giv’em the gun!
Down we dive, spouting our flame from under,
Off with one hell-uv-a roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame,
Nothing‘ll stop the U.S. Air Force!
Minds of Men fashioned a crate of thunder,
Set it high into the blue;
Hands of men blasted the world asunder,
How they lived God only knew!
Souls of men dreaming of skies to conquer
Gave us wing, ever to soar!
With scouts before and bombers galore,
Nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force!
There is a toast to the host of those who love the vastness of the sky,
To a friend we send the message of his brother men who fly.
We drink to those who gave their all of old,
Then down we roar to score the rainbow’s pot of gold.
A toast to the host of men we boast,
The U.S. Air Force.
Off we go into the wild sky yonder,
Keep the wings level and true,
If you’ve lived to be a grey-haired wonder,
Keep the nose out of the blue!
Flying men, guarding our nation’s borders,
We’ll be there, followed by more.
In echelon we carry on!
Nothing’ll stop the U.S. Air Force.
-
.............flying high, into the sky.
...something or other..at 'em boys, give 'em the gun.
....something, something, something...
...something, something, something...
...something, something, something...
We live in fame, or go down in shame
Nothing can stop the US Air Force!!!

Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide as Disinfectants: by Judy Stouffer, B.S., M.S., SFO
You can make your kitchen a cleaner, safer place and fight bacteria, without exposing yourself and your family to toxic chemicals that also damage the environment. You can use a simple safe disinfecting spray that is more effective than any of the commercial cleaners in killing bacteria. As a bonus, it is inexpensive!
All you need is three percent hydrogen peroxide, the same strength available at the drug store for gargling or disinfecting wounds, and plain white or apple cider vinegar, and a pair of brand new clean sprayers, like the kind you use to dampen laundry before ironing.
It doesn't matter which you use first - you can spray with the vinegar then the hydrogen peroxide, or with the hydrogen peroxide followed by the vinegar. The paired sprays work exceptionally well in sanitizing counters and other food preparation surfaces -- including wood cutting boards.
In tests run at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, pairing the two mists killed virtually all Salmonella, Shigella, or E. coli bacteria on heavily contaminated food and surfaces when used in this fashion, making this spray combination more effective at killing these potentially lethal bacteria than chlorine bleach or any commercially available kitchen cleaner.
The best results came from using one mist right after the other - it is 10 times more effective than using either spray by itself and more effective than mixing the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide in one sprayer.

There used to be a forum dedicated to home health care and emergency medicines, etc. This is the best place I could think of putting this info in since the other place doesn't exist anymore.

Duct Tape Wart Removal Works!
A study released Oct. 15, 2002, shows that basic hardware store duct
tape removes warts better than the common liquid nitrogen treatments used
by most doctors. And another benefit besides being free or extremely
low cost, is that there is no pain involved. The study, which was
reported in the October issue of the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent
Medicine, shows an 85% success rate in comparison to 60% success for the
freezing treatment doctors use.
Patients in the study wore duct tape over their warts for six days.
Then they removed the tape, soaked the area in water and used an emery
board or pumice stone to gently scrape the wart. The tape was reapplied
the next morning and the same six day process was used again. This
same treatment continued for two months, or until the wart was completely
gone.
It is believed that an immune system reaction causes the body's natural
defense system to attack the wart due to the irritation caused by the
duct tape, said researcher Dr. Dean "Rick" Focht III of Cincinnati
Children's Hospital Medical Center. He said other types of tape were not
tested, and they are not sure if there is anything special about duct
tape, which is a gray, heavy-duty, fabric-backed tape.
Another doctor, Pediatric dermatologist Dr. Anthony J. Mancini of
Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, reported that he uses standard
over-the-counter wart remover along with duct tape in a nightly process.
Wart remover is applied to the wart each evening, and then the area is
covered with duct tape, which is then removed the next day for 4-6
hours, then the process is repeated again each evening until the wart is
gone.
http://archpedi.ama-assn.org/issues/v156n1...l/poa20075.html]
This study shows that duct tape occlusion therapy is not only equal to but exceeds the efficacy of cryotherapy in the treatment of the common wart. Tape occlusion therapy can now be offered as a nonthreatening, painless, and inexpensive technique for the treatment of warts in children.

The stores started selling halloween candy in August, and they are pushing Christmas already even though we haven't even made it into NOVEMBER yet! What ever happened to THANKSGIVING?!?!?!?!?!?
I think I will wait a while before I start watching the Santa Clause, etc. I only hope that the networks wait a little while too.

Your answers are correct. HOWEVER, your methodology leaves much to be desired.
(Oopppppppppppppps! THAT is the teaher in me "coming out").
Let C=the number of cars
Let M=the number of motorcycles
C + M = 30
M = 30 - C
4c + 2M = 100
4C + 2(30 - C)
4C + 60 - 2C = 100
2C = 40
C = 20
M = 30 - C
M = 30 - 20
M = 10
-
I think I shall give the other geniuses here another 24 hrs to chime in. BTW-you Einstein's who already checked in---HOW did you arrive at your answer???
-
When the sales manager at a dealership that sells cars and motorcycles was asked how many vehicles he sold last week he said, "We sold 30 motors and 100 tires."
From this information, calculate the number of motorcycles sold and the number of cars sold.

Debbiele-are you talking about the musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'? It had some of the most wonderful and athletic dance numbers I have ever seen. Do you remember the dance sequence where they jumped up, on, and over the log?????

[shamelessly snitched from another site cause I thought it was an excellent idea!]
I'd like to make a suggestion for all of us who are stirring around trying to figure out what to do with our emotion, sadness, fear, etc. etc. on this trying day...
Today I dedicated my run to the victims of 9/11. I ran for the businessmen/women who ran for their lives that day, the men/women who loved to run but lost their lives, the people who were hurt and may never run again. I realized that my better health and fitness might be what saves me and/or my family or someone else should I be involved in something similar, which brought some real seriousness to my workout today.
I'd like to propose that whatever our workout is for today, we do it honor of those whom we call heroes today because of their bravery and their strength
{Personally-I'm going to go to the range and put some holes in a paper target)

I'm glad you found something you can live with. I couldn't do that diet cause any amount of carbs sends too much insulin racing around my system, and the insulin doesn't help the carbs get into the cells to be "burned" so it just does the other thing it does best-it turns the carbs into stored fat!!!!! I need a "ketogenic" diet to force my bod into burning fat for fuel instead of carbs, but I still have problems even making that work.! Soooooooooooooooooo, I eat low carb cause I don't get "hungry" (hunger pangs), cause I don't get sleepy, and cause I don't get "zoned out" like carbs do to me.
BTW-be very sure that you keep the ratios that they recommend at the evening meal. And you're right about the insulin thing; it has something to do with avoiding a secondary release of insulin that takes place about 1 hour after ingesting food.

If I knew it would be the last time I'd see you fall asleep
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep
If I knew it would be the last time I'd see you walk out the door
I would give you a hug and call you back for one more
If I knew it would be the last time I could spare a minute or two
To stop and say "I care about you"
Instead of assuming you would KNOW I do….
If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day,
Well, I'm sure you'll have so many more,
So I can let just this one slip away
For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight
And we always get a second chance to make everything right
There will always be another day to say our "I love you's."
And, certainly there's another chance to say "Anything I can do?"
But, just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I care about you and I hope we never forget….
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike.
And, today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight
So, if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow
Never comes you'll surely regret the day that you didn't take that extra
Time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss - And you were too busy to grant
Someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
So, hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ear.
Tell them that you love them and will always hold them dear.
Take time to say "I'm sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you," or "It's ok."
And if tomorrow never comes…You'll have no regrets about today

If you live near a WalMart, go there and buy the WalMart edition of the "Rand McNally Atlas of the United States"! They have a listing in the back of all of their stores, including the ones that allow you to camp (park) in their parking lot overnight. Think of the money you could save by parking overnight for free!!! Of course saving money is dependent on NOT going into each store and spending a fortune.
