  1. Good morning everyone.

I had cataract surgery on Tuesday morning and spent 2 nights in a motel as had to see the dr. again yesterday morning.

We had rough roads going up to Bemidji for the surgery on Monday evening.       Nancy, my daughter, put in a full day of work Monday and of course it was dark by the time we were ready to go.      Our first good snow was coming down.     Of course it couldn't wait until we got up there.   :)        But, we had good roads coming home yesterday.

I am still fuzzy so all mistakes are because of that.    :)

Thank you everyone for your comments.

Jeepers,  I have decided I need to wear a mask when sewing more than just a few things.     I may even use one for anything over 4 or 5 things.

  2. I know this is really late but, is anyone interested in doing a Christmas Ornament Exchange this year??

Please let me know soon and we can get it started.

You will need to send my your name and address so I can get it out to everyone.    :)       I guess we should get it done as fast as we can so we can get the ornaments set by or close to Thanksgiving.

Again, sorry for being so late.

  3. Good morning, everyone.

I know I haven’t been in here for a very long time.    It might take a very long time to tell you everything that has happened around here.

So, I will say it started November 2nd, 2022 and I cracked I think it was the T12 that was cracked.   I saw the physical therapist on the 16th and had two therapy  sessions after that.      Then I had sinus infection in December.      January, I had another sinus infection and again in February I had another sinus infection.     Come March, I had another sinus infection but it was different.     They took x-rays and both lungs were full of white wispy cloud like stuff.      This is what was in my files, but was taken out after a very short time.

FINDINGS: Peribronchial thickening both lungs which along with mild reticulonodular interstitial prominence may be related to airways inflammation or infection versus mild pulmonary edema. No dense consolidation or large pleural effusion. Borderline heart size and pulmonary vascularity. Cardiac pacemaker. Aortic calcification.

IMPRESSION: Findings as above suggest airways inflammation/infection versus mild pulmonary edema.

I had been doing a lot of sewing, I mean days of it both morning and afternoon.    I have wondered if it wasn’t from the material.   The lint from the material could have gotten into my lungs.      Anyway, this information is no longer on/in my file, that I can find.

It took me until the end of April, and another sinus infection, to get rid of whatever this was.

I was doing well and then I had another sinus infection in July and again in September.       Now, I am getting over an acute case of diverticulitis that had started some time before I ended up in E.R with it so bad.

So, now I hope I will be able to be in here for a while.    😊

I am wondering if anyone is interested in doing a Christmas Ornament Exchange this year?      I will post in the other forum so you can sign up if you are interested.

  4. Hi euphrasyne, it is nice to see more people interested in genealogy.

I work on it then take a vacation from it for a while and then go back to it.

It has been some time since I have come to check this form out.        I don't seem to get in here very often now days.

I remember my dad saying he was a cousin, maybe it was 5th or so, of Robert E. Lee.      This was when I was in school and that has been a very long time ago now.

I had someone go into Ancestor and they found the connections for me.       But, since then I have not gotten it written down in my FTM.    So, one of these days, I will need to get busy and do that.    :)

You have a nice rest of the day.    :)    :bighug2:

  5. Good afternoon everyone.    :)

I'm a bit late, but I have all of mine too.       Sorry for not posting before.

I am so far behind this year, I just got my letter written the 13th and I haven't sent any cards out yet.     Yes, I know, they are all going to be very late.

  6. Good morning,

No problem, Midnightmom, don't feel bad at all.    I don't always get the mail every day.

With my daughter working early and getting off after dark, she doesn't always go get it after work.

I'm glad you posted the pictures, that way everyone could see what you had gotten.

I got yours and dogmom's today when DD had an appointment and on her way home she got them.    Love both of them.

      Things are good.    :)     :bighug2:  :bighug2:

If I can get pictures taken I'll get them on soon.     That way you will see our tree.    :)    :bighug2:   to all and a Merry Christmas to everyone.     :):bighug2:

  7. Thank you Becca_Anne, Pauline and Becca_Anne's friend Sue, I love them all.

I got the 2 today and the one from Becca_Anne last week one day.

Now, on top of my back problems, I have sinus infection, just what I need.   :(         At least I went in and got medication for the sinus infection.

Thank you all again for joining the exchange this year.

  8. I am so sorry I haven’t been in here, but I do have an excuse.

Last week, I went to the doctor as I was in pain and still am.     I have a fracture in my lower back.

This was between two Craft Shows one week apart and I had to do sewing and other things for the second one while in pain and on pain pills.

I will get names and addresses to you as soon as I am able to set long enough to get them done.

  9.    Everyone,  I'm so sorry I haven't been in for a very very long time.

My DD and I both had Covid, and in fact, I missed going to church in July except the last Sunday.    I'm thinking she went one time without me.

Neither one of us were really to sick.    So I was glad we had gotten our shots.      Yes, I got them and since I live with her she got them.     My heart doctor said I really needed to get the shots.      So far neither of us have gotten a booster shot.    I don't plan on it unless my heart doctor tells me I have to.

I had a bad sinus infection after the Covid, I was sicker with the infection than with the covid.

We had a family reunion at one of my nephew's homes in August.    September just came and was gone.    We had a Craft Show in May and again last Saturday, Oct. 1.    We have one in November and going to get one at the end of October.     No, I'm not busy.    :)   :)

Yes, the Christmas Ornament Exchange is now on line.   :)      So far there are 3 of us.   :)

I will try my best to be in here more.

  10.  You two are so good.

I haven't been counting my miles for a long time.      Well, I do have a fit bit and so it count the miles for me.     So I do write down how many miles a day.

I need to get back to the treadmill and bike, it has been a while since I have been on either on.

I'm so tired by noon that I just can't seem to do much at all.

Now, my excuse is that I am needing to get crafts made for the craft shows we have coming up.    We had one last Saturday and I have to get things made to replace what sold.    :)

I know, there is always time to set around, but, that is the time I need to ride and walk.    I so agree.

You both are doing a GREAT job.      I couldn't see the HUGS smile.      So,   image.png

  11. Good morning everyone.

I so agree with you Momo, the younger ones who are interested in genealogy really need to talk to us older ones.     I have one sister alive yet, she is the next to oldest and is 91 years old now.     I am the youngest one and well I'll just say I am about 12 years younger than she is.    We are the only ones left in our family and have been interested in genealogy for years.

I will also say that from what I hear, most of the younger ones are not interested in genealogy.     That is to bad as there may come a day they will wish they had more information.

A few years ago, I made a book for each of my kids and gave it to them for Christmas.    I have also made a book for three of my nieces and 1 of my great nieces.  Right now I have at least one nephew who has asked for all the information I will give him.    All of these are the older ones, I think the youngest one is almost 40.      But any of them younger have never seemed interested.       It really makes me sad that they don't seem to care.

  12. Good morning, everyone.      I know I haven’t been in here for a very long time.     Things happen.      My daughter had Covid the last of May, and I had a test done on the 5th of July and of course I had it too.     After the Covid, I had a bad sinus infection.

Now, I am sure some of you are wondering about the Christmas Ornament Exchange so I am game on it.

For those who haven’t done it before, you need to send me your name and address so I am able to send the list to everyone who has signed up.

What you do is you make an ornament to exchange with everyone who signs up.    You can start making them right away so you won’t get behind.     I am one who sometimes gets behind.

We do craft shows and we have two of them coming up, one in October and one in November.     So, I am going to be busy making things for that too.      We just had one this past Saturday.

Anyway, if you are interested just message me with your name and address and I will put you on the list.      We try to get them out by Thanksgiving or shortly after.

  13. Thank you for the Birthday wishes.      I had a very good day.

So sorry I haven't been in here lately.

I have a nephew who is very ill and I've been trying to keep up with how he is doing.   He is in the hospital, in WA. and of course after his heart beat went down to 20, they used a defibrillator on him.       They said if he hadn't gotten to the hospital when he did he wouldn't have lived.      He has a bad kidney and also an aneurysm and they may work on them at the same time.    As soon as he is stable enough to have the surgery.      No today they say he has Covid.     He had the shots too.      So, I'm not getting anything done around here except keeping in touch with one of my nieces.

I don't get on line as much as I use to either.

Thank you so much for remembering me.    :bighug2::bighug2:
