Happy All Saint's Day!

We had 32 trick-or-treaters last night. They were so cute! A group of about 6 girls jumped on my flowerbed, but there's nothing in it right now, so I don't mind! The started coming around 5pm.

Today is Tuesday, so as usual, I won't be home all day. I have to read an essay by George Orwell sometime before my class tonight. Other than that, I'm just working!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all! Saturday night was great. I LOVE Alice Cooper! Jackie and her brother Rick weren't as thrilled as me, but they saw him 15 years ago, so duh, he's a bit older. But he's one of my favorites and I finally got to see him live! I owe Jackie so much $ now. The $45 plus fees for the ticket (that I will work off around her house), $20 since the concert was at a casino, and she didn't want me to just stand there while they gambled. (lost it, I don't understand those slot machines), $7 for a cold sub and mushy fries, and $25 for the sweatshirt I just HAD to have. Luckily, earlier that day my brother had come by and given me $40 on my Blazer, so I didn't have to try to borrow the whole amount. Just the tshirts were $35, the sweatshirt was $60! Yikes! I think that's the most expensive article of clothing I own! But unlike a tshirt, I can wear it everyday and I didn't have a sweatshirt and I get really cold when it gets cold )

Jackie and I got in trouble at least 4 times during the concert, because we were standing on the chair. The showroom isn't that big and the floor is flat (should be angled!), and with everyone standing, we couldn't see. I'm only 5'3", and Jackie's shorter than me. When I was standing, there was a guy two rows ahead that was only about 5" shorter than me! My DH said he couldn't believe I got in trouble, I'm SO NOT a trouble maker! And here I get in trouble 4 times!

Last night we took the kids out up to a new housing development in town, and went through 3 cul-de-sacs and both the kids ended up with about 3 lbs of candy. We figured that was enough and I asked the kids if they thought they had enough, and they said yes, I even thanked them for not being greedy. I was cold, and so happy they didn't want to keep going!

Friday night, Beth wrecked her truck, trying to avoid hitting a possum, so now she's using ours, and I'm babysitting her daughter, Summer again. That way she won't have to worry about going 6 miles extra every day with someone else's truck (and she's wanted me to watch her for awhile anyway, Summer is too bored at that house, being the only kid, here she gets to play with Dalen, and actually goes to sleep at a decent hour at night). So some good came out of it, and I get to earn some $. And hopefully, she'll come out ahead, if she owed less that what the truck was worth, she'll be able to get a new one.

The kids are in the backroom now, being very quiet, so I guess computer time is over. Hope everyone has a great day.

Blessed be.

Did the church non-halloween celebration thing. Had over 200 kids and their families playing games and winning candy. Had 40 very large bags of candy. All the kids got plenty and so did the parents. They were all so cute. Had three Jack Sparrow''s from Pirates of the Carribean. Took tons of pics and just had a great time. I do hurt today from being on my feet since 1 yesterday. Had to prep all the food also since my kitchen help didn't show up on time. It was all ready when she got there so all she had to do was serve. Glad to get home last evening. Couldn't wind down until after midnight. I was so tired but could not sleep. Made a bigggggg pot of chili and have custard in the oven. It is cold and rainy here and windy too so something simmered all day sounded good. Didn't want to go out today, but the Star Wars dvd comes out today and we want it. Did not go out to see it at the movies. Plus marked down chocolate sounds really good at this point. With all the candy from last night didn't get any to take home. I can have one small piece a day since I am diabetic and like to have some stashed. All have a great day.

Kids started coming by from 5pm. Then around 6pm the rains came, gks were afraid they weren't going to be able to give out treats since it was raining pretty hard, but by 7pm the rain and wind stopped, and the trickers started arriving, it didn't end until after 10pm, went through 20 bags of candy. I had a large spider hanging on a web by the door, this little boy thought it was real, and ran back to his parents, they kept pushing him forward, he kept walking backward, I finally had to go to the sidewalk and give him his candy, couldn't stop laughing. On a sadder note, last night only three of the grandkids went treat/treating, the other two said they were to old
