We nearly lost one of our greatest assets

The Flu Wiki site

After traffic nearly crashed Flu Wiki again last night, I was in discussions with TextDrive.com, our hosting company. It was a very long day, but they have now become a Flu Wiki partner and are hosting us gratis in the effort to inform the public. An acknowledgement page will be created shortly. Speaking only for myself, I can tell you that the last week has been an enormous challenge and I couldn’t have gotten through it without the work of the great people at TextDrive.com.

TextDrive gave us five hours of their top technical director’s time today to handle the server migration and he is now a part of the Flu Wiki team. We’re being treated like one of their top corporate clients. We now have the bandwidth for millions of hits per day. I’m still stunned.

Tomorrow I’m (Melanie of Flu Wiki) giving an interview to Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera along with our own poster skye. As soon as I get the air date and time, I’ll post it in “Tip of the Day” on the main page.
