Christmas apples........

Recommended Posts

This is an easy pudding to make at this time of the year, very tasty and seasonal.

Take one large apple per person and core it. Score around the skin (this will stop it splitting open in the oven); stuff the core cavity with mincemeat and put a dot of butter on the top. Place in a baking dish with 1/2" water around it and bake in a moderate oven until soft. Serve warm with custard, cream or ice cream.

Another favourite in this house is apple and mincemeat pie, or warm mincemeat served on cold ice cream. Very festive!
