Outdid Myself

Usually on Thursdays, after waiting tables all day at work, I'm in no mood to cook. So we usually order out or DBF fixes us up something real quick. But I've been trying to use some of the stuff in the freezer before I have to can it. Here's what I did:

 

Round Steak w/onions and bell pepper-

1 lg. steak (out of freezer) cut into serving size portions

1 qt. sliced bell pepper (out of freezer)

1 lg. onion-sliced

2 Tbl. margarine

1/4 c. peanut oil

2 c. water

salt & pepper

 

Brown steak in oil and margarine. Add peppers and onion. Cover until everything sizzles a little. Add water. Cover and continue cooking til steak is nice and tender. Remove cover and cook until onion/pepper mix thickens a little.

 

Garlic Mushrooms Usually I just fry-em-up. Mamacat-thank you-your recipe is super and it's even given me some other ideas on fixin' my mushrooms.
