Leia
I canned pepper rings from the yellow hungarian wax peppers a couple of years ago. They aren't very good I would like to can some GOOD ones (LOL)...does anyone have a good recipe for canning pepper rings? We eat alot of them and I would love to have them canned (I end up buying from the store since mine didn't turn out). Thanks!!! Shawna Link to comment
Guest Guest
How did you can them (pickled?), why didn't they turn out (mushy? flavor?), how do you *want* them to be? Like pepperoncini? These answers will help us figure it out for you. Link to comment
Leia
Here's the recipe I used (FWIW! LOL!) 10 cups water 4 cups vinegar 2 tablespoons sugar Slice into rings and cover with hot vinegar solution. Process in boil-water bath for 10 minutes. They are just blah....texture is wrong and they just don't taste right (at least *right* as in like what you get canned at the store). I just would like them to taste more like the banana pepper rings you buy. More like pepperoncini would be great! Clear as mud?? Shawna Link to comment
