It's been neglected for so long, and needs some cleaning, and cheerful color. First, Mare scrubs the tiled floor until it gleams. The she does the same with the windows. After that's finished, she opens all the windows to air the place out, and hangs soft, filmy white sheers at the windows, and enjoys watching them dance about in the breeze. Lets see, now for decor. Remembering Nana's awsome idea for Mare's bedroom, that Caveman wouldn't let her have, Mare decides to use the color palate suggested by Nana for a Pacific sunset. I hope we do you proud, Nana, wherever you are. If my memory is correct, Nana suggested the colors lavender, navy blue, aqua or turquoise, and a pop of carmine red. Soliciting Caveman's help, she paints the walls a cheerful lavender, with white trim. While Caveman's finishing up the paint, Mare paints a wicker sofa glossy white, then sews a cushion for it in a white cotton sateen, with tiny lavender, purple, aqua and pink wild flowers, with just a touch of yellow, and greenery in it. Next, she sews a table cloth for the round table, to match the cushion, and cushions for the chairs. On the table, she places an old Italian piece of pottery she found laying around, and loads it with fresh, brightly colored lemon and limes. Then she finds a lovely, almost navy colored braided rug, and places that on the floor. She brings in some carmine red crystal vases, and fills them with fresh daisy's and purple delphiniums. Wouldn't it be cool if we could find someone talented in painting to paint a mural on one wall? Maybe a carpet of wild flowers, or a seascape? What do you think? What else does this place need?
