Deblyn
I read in another forum that the French olive oil harvest for this year will be severely restricted due to the effects of a disastrous ice storm suffered by the olice growers in France. Apparently, France is one of the major producers of olive oil, so it is likely a shortage will occur. If you use a lot of olive oil, it may be wise to stock up. Just thought I'd pass this on. Guest Guest
heck! I can barely afford Italian olive oil let alone French olive oil! Quote Link to comment
Deblyn
I don't buy a lot either because of the price. I know a lot of people buy it because it has less damaging fats in it (can't remember the term!), and is meant to be more healthy for your heart. That is why the Italians have healthy hearts, they say. I buy one small bottle at a time and really make it last. I don't like the way it goes when it gets cold, though, really off-putting!
