Pandemic Ad on the Radio

I was driving home this evening and listening to the radio. I had it tuned to National Public Radio, the program Marketplace. They had one of those sponsorship ad blurbs on at the beginning of the show, and it shocked me. It was from the federal government asking people to take the threat of a pandemic seriously and directing them to the government's pandemic website.

Marketplace has done some stories about the threat of a pandemic - something the mainstream media has not dealt with seriously for the most part. But I was really surprised that the feds took out that ad time on the show to promote pandemic preparedness.

 

They are still only promoting a two week supply of food and water. *sigh* But if had even that, it would be an improvement.

 

TPTB are seeing the same stuff we are seeing and trying to get people to wake up and prepare. Makes me wonder if they know more than is being reported.
