Tracie
I need a dehydrator? I would assume the cheap ronco kind are terrible, but other than that, I don't know how to choose? Anyone have any advice for me? Thanks, Link to comment

What do you ladies think? Is a cheaper one okay? Or do I really need a more expensive one? Thanks! Link to comment

WormGuy
I can only comment on the excalibur unit. It does everything they say it will do. It is more expensive but to us it was worth it. John Link to comment
mom11
I have the nine shelf, Excalibur, with the timer. I love it. They make one, just as large, without the timer, and I think it is cheaper. You can only buy the ones with the timer, directly from Excalibur, or at least it was that way when I bought mine two years ago. The little booklet, mine came with, was nothing, but useless. It was no more than a simple manual. I ended up buying their dehydrating cookbook, but from another company, and cheaper. I got a 10 year warranty with the dehydrator, for free. Anyway, I love the dehydrator and it is running full of yellow squash and zucchini now. Link to comment
