moldy Posted July 24, 2008 Share Posted July 24, 2008 French Bread 2 tblsp yeast 3 tblsp sugar 2 cups water 8 cups flour 2 tsp salt 3 tblsp oil Mix all together and knead well. Let rest 10 minutes, then punch down. Repeat 4 times. Form in to 3 loaves (round or long) and let rise until double. Brush with beaten egg and cut slits in top of loaves. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes.
